Enigmatic

A witch's cat, definitely. I thought she'd hear me think the word camera and be gone long before I got it out. But no, she just narrowed her eyes even more and continued to sit there, most happy to be photographed and taken as a omen.

What can one say to something (the picture) and someone (the cat) that are so perfect? Deep joy.

Great shots! I am reminded of a recent news item in our paper about how black dogs and cats are the least desired for adoption from pet rescue agencies in Alberta so they have been sending them to Vancouver where they are much more readily chosen.

Yes, perfect. Or....cliché alert...purrfect.

The thing that bothers me about black cats is that you can't see their facial expressions. Otherwise they're fine.

Photogenic cat! Some cats see the camera approaching, bulge their eyes and nip off quickly. This one has a rather fine three-quarters face/silhouette.
